How does the outcome-based contract actually work?
We agree the metric, baseline, and floor / target / stretch tiers up front. About 70% of fee is base and 30% is at-risk. We do not propose outcome-based work where the metric cannot be measured cleanly – that protects both sides.
Four layers. Spec-driven inputs: prompts run against curated architecture / domain specs, never open-ended. Test-first generation: behavioural tests written before the feature, then the AI must satisfy them. Deterministic gates: static analysis, type-checks, dependency scan, regression suite block every merge. Eval-driven CI: a behavioural eval suite blocks merges that regress correctness or hallucination rate. Human review sits on top. This is also the answer to the question your security and architecture teams will ask.
We use Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor via enterprise-tier endpoints with zero-retention configuration and IP indemnification flowed through from our vendors (Anthropic, GitHub, Cursor) into our MSA with you. Every release ships with SBOM and SLSA-aligned attestation. AI-suggested lines carry the same provenance trail as human-written code. The full IP / data-handling summary is part of MSA – not a separate appendix shared “on request.”
All three are configured at enterprise tier with zero data retention. Prompts and responses are not used for training. Where workloads warrant tighter controls – clinical, defence, or sensitive financial – self-hosted open-source generation replaces the frontier-model path. Data residency respected per your jurisdiction (DPDP / GDPR / RBI / HIPAA / FedRAMP, where applicable). BAA available for healthcare engagements.
You do. Every commit lands in your source repository under your org. No third-party hosted dependencies; no SMI-controlled keys; no lock-in clauses.
